One more stand to go!
An
enormous thanks to those of you who’ve sponsored a stand! We are delighted to have raised £979 as of 27 November 2019,
purchasing eight stands and with funds to order another three. Just one more and we'll have reached our target and will be equipped with 12 tour-able orchestral RAT stands.
It may surprise many of our supporters to learn that good, reliable music stands are very expensive and – as a result – organisations are often reluctant to lend them out. Each project, Opera dei Lumi tours between multiple venues and it is very challenging to source adequate music stands for our musicians to use in each location. We are looking to raise a total of £1,068 to purchase 12 professional, durable and portable orchestral RAT Stands at £89 each.
Owning quality music stands will alleviate some of the logistical challenges associated with touring with an orchestra. Any donation (it need not be a full stand's-worth) will go a long way to helping us purchase this necessary equipment. We will mark donations of £89 or more by acknowledging you in print and offering two complimentary tickets to a future performance.
